    Hi All,

I've got a Yamaha 1400 and plan to upgrade to either 6.1 or 7.1 soon. Am I going to notice any difference if there is one speaker or 2 for the rear surround effects channel or not? I can probably squeeze in both of them but it might look a little crowded. Has anyone tried with one speaker and then 2? Any noticable difference in sound?

at least if you go with 7.1 it shall be very future proof like for instance blu-ray will probably end up using the latest DD technology (dd7.1)

Am i right in thinking the center rear channel is just mono ?, if it is then there wont really be much diffrence in useing one speaker , especialy if you have only a little space back there. Someone please correct me if i am wrong.
