    Hi

    Does anyone have this????

I saw it in Tesco today but couldn't tell if it could record through scart or not. The best thing I can see about it is that it has no fan for cooling. This has to be a big plus as the noise from mine has always annoyed the hell out of me.

    regards

    Gary

It won't. It's a promise. Freeview PVRs have no ability to encode video to digital. They simply copy the digital broadcast straight onto their Hard Disk. To record from SCART you need something like a HDD-DVD recorder.

Is it any good as a PVR though ? £99 is fantastic, I want a PVR for the spare telly upstairs so it doesn't need to be brilliant, just cheap.

I do want to be able to watch the start of a recording whilst the recording continues though, will it do that?

Anyone know anything about these PVR's ?

Thats a real shame that as my thomson DVD HDD recorder has a really noisey fan & gets right on my wick :boring: :boring: Will keep watching this product for firmware updates as I may be interested in this for the bedroom.

    Regards

    Gary
