Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone could help me out, well i say me i mean my grand mother-in-law out! She bought a portable dvd player for her bedroom as she has no TV in there and i said i will help her set it up, on doing this i noticed there was an AV Out and AV In connections on the side. I straight away thought great she can plug this into her TV in the living room as her TV doesn't support a USB stick and this DVD Player does!
Everything sets up fine, plug it in and set the tv to AV and the DVD player to AV Source, however when you play a film it plays sound from both the DVD Player and the TV, i have tried turning down the volume on the DVD player but it turns down the sound on the tv too. It also does the same when you Mute the DVD Player and if i try turning the DVD Player screen off it turns the VIDEO on the TV off. I have looked in the settings and as far as i can see on the DVD Player there is no internal mute function like you can when you use a TV with a home theatre system. Please help me as i want to get her to have the best of both worlds if possible! PS the cable that comes with the DVD Player is 3.5mm Jack to Red, Yellow, White RCA connection.
