Firstly apologies if this is the wrong forum, hopefully I can ask this Q here.

I assume it must be possible to transfer music from vinyl to a MP3 player (or thats what I'd like to do) so is there an easy way to do this ?
Assume I'd have to transfer to a PC and then burn onto the player.
    Any help gladly received
    Ta

Yup, you need a computer. Roxio's Easy Media Creator (for Windows) and Toast (for Mac) include tools to digitise analogue sound from vinyl into MP3 (or whatever format you want) on a computer. They feature pop, hiss, crackle, grunt etc filters to get rid of (well, reduce) all the old vinyl artifacts you won't want.

There are other tools, but these are the only ones I've tried. They worked well for me.
