Burning Smell coming from Samsung TV

I have a 32 inch Samsung which i have had for about 2 and a half years. Yesterday i noticed a weird sort of burning smell coming from the upper vent on the back of the TV.

The TV is working fine but the smell has got me worried, especially since it has no longer got a warranty.

Any ideas why it has happening and how i can sort it?

Does it smell vile like a burning creepy crawley?
Or does it have a chemical tinge to it like burning plastic?

It's a bit strong, more chemical than creepy crawly

Switch it off at the mains and call a TV engineer.
