    Hi,

I'm trying to burn a cd from a playlist in iTunes for the first time but I seem to be having a few problems. The 'Burn disc' option appears in the right hand corner but everytime I put in a blank disk nothing happens. I'm using Sony CD-R disks which I assumed would be fine. Could this be causing the problem, or could anyone point me in the right direction?

    Many thanks!

    J

this might sound obvious, but you do have a cd writer installed and it is working okay?

I'm pretty certain It's installed fine. I'm guessing that there's just some sort of problem with reading disks.

This might sound even more obvious, but do you click on Burn Disc ? IIRC (it's been a while since I've burnt with iTunes), the Burn Disc opens when a blank is inserted, and then you click it to burn.

Sorry if that's really obvious, just checkin !

Yep, that should work - I use Sony CD-R Audio discs for burning music CDs from iTunes with a Philips DVR1640P drive and have never had a problem.
