Hope this is the correct forum for this.

I have a DVD player which can play DivX/MPEG4 files, and I had a cunning idea. For longer movies, or several episodes of a TV series burning to a single DVD often means lowering the bitrate so much that quality takes a big hit. So why not use DivX/MPEG to cram more into a DVD sized file (say 3.5 Gb) but at a higher quality, then burn it onto a single DVD.

I can produce MPEG4 files no problem, but how do I burn them onto a DVD-R disc so that they will play on a Momitsu V880?

    Any suggestions much appreciated.

I assume that you create your AVI file, then just burn it as a normal data disc ?? ALso I know these players can play DivX from a CD-R but can they from DVD-R ?
