I am a football coach who is trying to record our game film to DVD so that each coach can have the games on DVD as we play them. My plan was to record them from digital camcorder to my LG DVD recorder (LGR435) as we play them. Each game I would update the master DVD with our most recent game, then make 5 copies of the DVD with my laptop DVD burner, using RecordNow burning software made by Sonic. Each coach would play their DVD in either a laptop or home DVD player. It worked the first time I tried it, but now after I have added another game, when I burn a copy I get the error message I have attached (error.jpg). I didn't finalize the DVD, but yet it plays in my other DVD player and also in my laptop DVD burner.

    1. Do I need to finalize it?

    2. I don't think it is scratched, could it be something else?

    3. Is there an easier way of doing this?

    4. Do Ineed to use a diffrerent format (DVD-RW??)?

    5. Any advice on how I can make this work? Any suggestion / tips / advice / comments would be great!

    I will try to help.

Q1 Do I need to finalize it?

A1 Not if your putting more than one game on.

Q2 I don't think it is scratched, could it be something else?

A2 Finger mark's..Wipe from the centre to the outside with a soft cotton cloth.

Q3 Is there an easier way of doing this?

A3 Maybe from digi cam to hard drive....but end result the same its on Disc.

Q4 Do Ineed to use a diffrerent format (DVD-RW??)?

    A4 Worth a try with a DVD-RW

Q5 Any advice on how I can make this work? Any suggestion / tips / advice / comments would be great!

A5 With the price of Discs, can you use a DVD-R or DVD+R instead of DVD+RW, to make the masters with. After a while the DVD+RW will soon fill up.

    Hope some of it helps.

Why not simply import the files in Nero VisionExpress (part of Nero 6)

    Then redo the disc.

If you wish to edit the disc each time then, just edit the Nero project you made and then erase the DVD-RW or +RW and burn a fresh copy.

Once the disc is full, burn to a DVD-R/+R so you have a final copy rather than staying with RW disc's.

    Thanks

No you have to buy Nero products, although they do come free with quite a few DVD recorders these days.
