I'm looking to pick up a set of bunk bed for my daughter next month and wondered if anyone had any recommendations. Beds seem to vary hugely in quality, so would be good to go with a recommendation.
We were planning on getting her a mid sleeper, but for some reason that I cannot remember, we are now getting bunk beds.
I don't want cheap as I want them to last, but at the same time, they are for a 4 year old, so will no doubt get knocked about and drawn on, so don't want to spend a fortune.

Any parents out there recommend a company to use?

    Thanks!

We bought from Mrs flat pack, they can tailor to suit your requirements, the site looks like it's from the 90's though but well made for a kids bed, had ours for a couple of years now and still looks new.

Just had a look again, but looks like they've stopped bunk beds and now only do mid and high sleepers. [emoji52]

Been a long time since mine were in bunk beds. They used to argue constantly about who got the top bunk, then by morning they were both in the same bed anyway
Sorry i don't have any recommendations, it just brought back good memories :)

Yer we brought them about 8 months ago no problem with them so far, when we got ours the ladder had a chip in it but contacted the company and they sent replacement out with no hassle what so ever so where good to deal with.

Useful thread, my eldest is also after a "bed near the roof". So will follow this with interest.

Although we are looking for one which is just space underneath (for desk, storage etc), rather than 2 beds.

Since its for a kid, I'd check on gumtree and just buy new mattresses, will be a lot cheaper
Or maybe a Facebook buy and sell page

We bought a "Stompa" bed for our daughter (many many years ago though) and could not praise it highly enough at the time. It was extremely well made and aesthetically pleasing with many designs and options available.

If I recall correctly it wasn't cheap though.

What about looking on ebay? People are always selling stuff like that. You'll just need the mattresses then.

I think pine is more pleasing to the eye.

Yeah I have been looking at these and they look great. Like you say, they are pricey though.

Just had a quick look on Stompa's website, unless I am looking in the wrong area, it looks as though everything is now "White". Ours was natural timber, much more satisfying in my view. Our purchase was made over 20 years ago, so things have obviously changed somewhat.
