      I. might. actually. enjoy. this. (Said with Shatner intensity)
Great to hear they dialled back the action sequences - half the time on the previous Movies (Especially the later ones) I could not tell which Robot was which - just a swirl of limbs and explosions & unintelligible sentences

Didn't ever think I'd bother going to see another Transformers movie in the cinema but this review may have just changed my mind...

Haven't made it to the end of any of the headache inducing Bay sequels so added bonus it's a prequel/soft reboot. Let's hope if they have to follow this up with another 4 sequels they just overwrite the Bay monstrosities!

Sometimes I'm so glad I have an 8 year old grandson who I can use as an excuse to watch these films. Spider verse tomorrow and this on boxing Day

I had an absolute blast with this, I loved it from beginnng to end.
Hailey S’ was fantastic as was her relationship to Bee, Bee and his mannerisms and character like something out of a Pixar film, so much nuance to him. Amazing transformers designs. The opening sequence was like something pulled out of the original cartoon but given 2018 CGI. It felt like an 80’s movie it was a real nostalgia fest with all the music too and I didn’t mind at all. LOVED IT!
9/10 from me. One of my faves of the year

Looking forward to this. Won’t be until Xmas that I get to see this now though. Hopefully it’ll make its way to IMAX aswell.

It should be great in IMAX, it was filmed at 1:85.

I was okay with the first one, after that though... :(

Let's hope that this does well at the B.O.

      I didn't hate the first 3 -4 (I think) but I got closer and closer. I haven't bothered with 5.
I'm a sucker for crash, bang, wallop with pretty pictures and Atmos. However this does look interesting. Hmm this or Aquaman (bearing in mind I "quite like" Justice League even it isn't in the same League as the Avengers films).

Give us a Transformers film in the style of Bumblebee's opening sequence with humans much more in the background or not in it at all or just give us a CGI version of the animated movie in the style of Bumblebee's opening sequence.

Opening was awesome, after that the pace kept bouncing up and down like a yoyo.

They should just re-release the original animated movie in the cinema.
I may even well up at the "You've got the touch, you've got the power..." scene and aftermath!

I saw it at the weekend, the review sums it up well. One to watch with the family and great to see a female lead in a male dominated franchise.

Saw this the other night, as a fan of the 80’s cartoon I thought this was brilliant! Much more inline with the original cartoon and a lot better than any of the other live action movies.
Seeing rampage come out of soundwave was a real treat with him looking a lot like the animated version. Transform sounds are back to how they used to sound.
The main actress was brilliant and overall the movie felt like something from the 80’s, its not all out action and it takes its time to breathe.
I hope it does well as this is a great starting point to reboot the franchise.

      Thank you for this review.
We are booked to see this, on Xmas eve. Wasn't sure I would be up for it. Like others I've got a little bored with this franchise, along with a lot of the super hero movies, recently. Maybe I'm just too old... actually scratch that. There's no maybe about it!

Anyway, thanks again for the review, and all the other positive comments. Looking forward to this now!:thumbsup:

Finally, a Transformers movie suitable for children who actually play with the toys. I haven't let my kids (5 & 8) watch any of the Michael Bay films yet, the tone of them just doesn't seem right for that age group, too violent and too sexualised. I will happily let them watch this one though, it sounds like great fun.
