Warner R2 version of "Bullitt" has suitable for all TV screens or something of that ilk wriiten on the packaging.

However, the guys at DVD comparisons state that despite this statement, the UK disc is 1:85:1 anamorphic.

Can anyone verify this? I so, I'll pick up a copy on the way home.

    Ta.

There was an error when Warner first released DVDs in the UK, in that the packaging said Reuglar in the TV box showing a full screen rather than widescreen bars. This was an error and in fact the films were anamorphic widescreen. They have never bothered correcting the packaging at future represses.

I don't have Bullitt but I know it applies to my copies of Maverick, Fugitive (1st release non-SE), Mars Attacks, etc

Thank you, that clarifies things nicely Malcy. I'll pop into the local Virgin V shop on the way home.
