building own sub help with amp

    howdy ....

    i am considering building a home use sub from one of my car subwoofers left that i have not yet blown up from over juicing it ... its a rockford 15" punch 4ohms impedence... i would like some help with an amp that can use ... idealy i would like an amp that does not sit on the shelf and feeds the sub in a box but would like to build an active sub box.

    can any one help ... i would like for a sub sonic experience ie below 30 hz and nice and load but same time dont want to pay alot of money there fore recycling my sub !
