Planning has come through , and it's all systems go .

I need some advise please ,The internal measurements are 2950mm x 4420mm the screen going on the 2950mm wall .

Would i get away with a JVC X30 (or another perhaps) at this size? also a screen recommendation would be good .

Thanks in Advance

Rob

Exciting times. :smashin:

Hope you get a Building Inspector who's days away from retirement.

Mine was clearly "de-mob happy" and let me have a room without windows.

The ultimate bat cave!

my BI was a youngish chap who stuck to the rules .... in my dedicated first floor cinema room extension, which is virtually the same size as yours Rob, i had to have two windows with one being an escape type. i had to wait untill the job was signed off before blocking them up to make the current bat cave.
What have you in mind for the room exactly .... dedicated cinema room only , cinema / games room / family room etc ?. If you need to see a finished project in the flesh to give you some idea what to look forward to then your most welcome to pop over to mine and hear my finished dedicated cinema with acoustic screen . Give us some more of your thoughts Rob :smashin:

I have an X3, I sit about 12' back watching an image 10' wide. I love it.
As for screens, I tested a whole bunch of samples and the only one that impressed me was the DNP SuperNova.
Mind you, if this is going to be a black bat-cave then just get a cheap screen or even magnolia wall paint (yes I am a heathen but it works for me and impresses folk).
I will be getting a DNP SuperNova when I move house so I can have lights on at same time as projector.
