Absolutely brilliant :) Don't need to say any more.

I'm going way out on a limb and saying this will be the best series yet.

    phew, panic over.

Fancy giving me a rough outlay of what happened?

Apperently there are meant tobe a lot more stand alone episodes this season onstead of the whole season being a long story. Was this one of these episodes or did it seem as if it wil carry on next week?

I'd say it was one of those episodes that will be linked to another one somewhere down the line - maybe after 13 or so episodes.

Basically the school has reopened and Dawn has joined. Xander's team are working on finishing the building and Buffy has gone in to speak with the new Headmaster (creepy guy...he'll be a big character later on methinks ;)). Anyway Buffy and Dawn see ghosts that appear then disappear quickly after. Dawn soon gets in trouble and so on and so forth. I won't say anymore incase I spoil something.

Its not really a standalone but the end will defo lead onto the main story arc. Thats all I'm gonna say :)

It was great and catch it on Saturday if you can. There wasn't any gory stuff so it won't be censored :)

Yep - not only do Sky show Buffy in pan and scan and delay Angel by a week, they have to give away a HUGE spoiler in the adverts

A very good opening Episode for the new series. Reports from the states have said that this is shaping up to be one of the best series ever, as about 12 episodes have already been shown over there. It looks like this is going to be the final series though as Fox are going to axe the show because of poor ratings :(.

They are going to axe the show because Joss wheadon does not want to do any more, nothing to do with bad ratings.

Well according to the press in the States (if you can believe them) the poor ratings is the reason. I read that Joss Whedon and the cast were deciding on if to do an eight series or not but it looks like Fox's decision willl be the final nail in the coffin whatever the real reason is.

Am I missing something here, UPN now own Buffy so what has FOX got to do with it. Incidently Joss Whedon has been quoted as saying that this is NOT necessarily the last season even if SMG quits, he mentioned possible future slayers as being Faith or Dawn (take that with a huge pinch of salt as he's a known wind up merchant) :)

I'm very angry at the trailer for the new season of Angel, what was a suspense is now totally exposed thanks to stupid Sky One. If anyone has taped the show and not yet watched it or you are watching it on Saturday trust me when I say skip past the Angel trailer. I'm thinking of writing to Sky about this, they were warned before about this during the previous season and they said "We try our best not to spoil the mystery of the upcoming episode"

As subtle as an elephant in an M1 Abrams driving over land mines..............in a tornado during an earthquake

Fox produces Buffy so they technically own it. What happened at the end of series 5 is UPN brought the rights to distribute it for two series on their network as it had originally been broadcast on WB. Of course the reason why Buffy jumped ship onto UPN was money, UPN were willing to pay more per episode.

Blimy back garden, I too was thinking even though we are over populated and have some slums, and get so groty weather you just can’t beat the British countryside. Now you tell me its some ones back garden.

I don't think you were supposed to know until later when Dawn says something like "Its time to use my present....." and she pulls out her phone.

Watching Buffy / Angel on Sky is awful, I'll have to wait for BBC / C4 to show it properly, snooker breaks apart
Admittedly they aren't perfect but compared to Sky...

    spoiler

think it was just to show that the new big bad is extremely powerful and knows all about Buffy's past and that maybe Spike is somehow being controlled or influenced by the big bad.

    end of spoiler

    SPOILER (or my ideas :))

Yeah I'd say the same but I think the big bad is trying to turn Spike against Buffy because it thinks Spike can kill her (perhaps a 'kill her and I'll remove your soul and chip' deal maybe?)

Its way too early to tell (and I don't want to find out until I watch it for myself) but we won't be disappointed with this series. I read its a culmination of previous years and everything has built up to this series - if thats true then it will be an incedible ending.

I thought it was somethong similar to that.

    But..............
if you havnt seen it look away now...................

Spike was talking to himself, when buffy first found him and said "its OK theres only the three of us here". So maybe it was spikes imagination, as he has known about all of the people who appeared, maybe he was imagining all of them???????

The spoiler can be found in an episode called Ammends (season three)

check out the 'First Evil' angel puts up with, it's very similar to spike's encounter.

then check out Restless, where Buffy meets 'THE FIRST'. Buffy beleives it to be the first slayer, but I reckon it's the First Evil like in the Ammends episode.

the episode ammends all gives clues to teh restless episode... xanda mentions he feels like hes in the middle of a play but can't rember the lines or what the play is about. This is Willow's nightmare in the restless episode.

I also believe that the girl being chased at the top of 7.01 is linked to Buffy somehow, maybe a potential slayer and that she is being chased by the first evil. Guys with crosses in the eyes (see Ammends)

the first evil would be a great big bad and the guys chasing the girl at the start did look like it's monks from Ammends.

The first evil also took the shape of Jenny Calendar and tried to get angel to kill buffy in that episode so it has the same MO (you can tell NYPD Blue is back:D ) as the first evil.

I'm looking forward to this series, good to see a lot of it will be back in the high school, the show lost something when they moved onto college.

Hmm...it did always seem weird that the 'ultimate evil' would appear then suddenly go, never to be returned.

It sounds like a brilliant big bad though...can't wait :)
