    Hi

I'm after some advice on budget (~£300) surround speakers. I know they're a bit lo-fi for this forum, but here's my shortlist so far:

Creative labs inspire 5.1 5700 (£280, Amazon) 5* review in What Hifi
Paramount studios HCS5300D (£300, Debenhams) 9/10 review in What video & tv
Kiiro DA-AV5 (£200, Amazon) couple of good customer reviews on Amazon

If I had to choose one now, I'd probably pick the creative labs. Are they powerful enough (my living room is about 6m x 5m)? If anybody's got experience of these three systems, or any better alternatives, I'd be glad of the help!!

    Thanks

The other thing I would consider is one of the Mission speaker packs, something like the MISSION CINEMA 72 PACKAGE .

    Hi

Worth looking at the Kef Cresta range as well, Richer Sounds have them at decent prices, also worth checking out the Paradigm PDR 10 & PS1000 subwoofers that they have on offer at the moment.

    cheers

Thanks for your ideas, the only problem is I'd have to buy an A/V receiver as well (not so with the creative labs etc). This sort of makes the Mission/Kef speakers out of my price range...

Do you think the creative lab speakers will sound crap in a 6m square room?

Maybe I'll have to contemplate spending more of my hard-blagged money (I'm a student) :D
