Any recommendations for a budget projector? I just missed the £660 PT-AE100E at Komplett.

You could go for the AE200 for £753 at Komplett or is £660 your absolute maximum

Thanks for the reply, that's a possibility. I'm not in any great hurry, will probably buy between now and Christmas. The budget is flexible if I can find a really great projector.

Could be worth holding out then until the Z2 & AE500 come out. At least if you do not go for one of those models the older models may come down a bit i.e the AE300 may be sub £1k in a month or two :D

I like the sound of the Z2, but it will probably be over my budget, unless I wait for the Z3....

This is like waiting for computers to go down in price and up in spec.

    There's never a right moment ;)

If you have the cash, buy one now and start enjoying it. I have an AE100 and I still thing its the mutts nuts. Even though i know there are better models out there.

Whatever you buy, you'll buy at the wrong time. Trust me, I've bought enough computers overe the years. ;)

    cheers

    Chris

The Z2's specs seem spot on for just about everybody's budget-ish needs.

Question: Does the AE200 have the RGB Scart input like the AE300???
