I want a graphics card that can play games like BF2 and the newer, CS Source and BMW M3 Challenge at a good FPS. At the moment I get about 15 FPS on CS source with low settings and 1280x1024.

Max £40. dont mind going 2nd hand

    My specs are:

    AMD Athlon 64 3200+
    1GB
ATI Radeon Xpress 200 on board graphics
    Motherboard MS-7184 Ver: 1.0
    300w PSU

You should be alright with a 6600GT, I have played BF2 with reasonable graphics on these cards and you should be able to get a second hand one for around £40.

I am still using one of these cards for BF2, BF2142 and even the Quake Wars demo.

If it an AGP card you require I may be able to help you.

You should check out TomsHardware.com for a good comparison

Id really save up for the 100-150 mark, you will get more for your money.

Otherwise, opt for a second hand 7600 GT

Now looking at his spec i'd probably go for the 6600GT and spent some more money on another 1GB of Ram. BF2 really likes having the extra 1GB, it seems to run about 1.3-1.5GB of ram normally so the extra will be very useful and other games will benefit massively as well.

There's a possiblity you might need a beefier PSU if it's a poor quality/no-name one with poor stability.
