Looking for an interim DVD scaler / 1080p Bluray player with ethernet for Netflix, Prime, Youtube & the like

Have a surprisingly good old Sony 1080p LCD screen that already shows stunning images, using Prime dongle - assume a main brand player will handle pic quality for these even better + I need something for large DVD / Bluray collection

Maybe prefer Sony for best compatibility - eg S1700, S3700, S6700 - Better alternatives, sub £100?

Looking for good scaling, right from pre HD material, both disc and Ethernet, through to optimal 1080p / £

Watching original Startrek series other day....wow, the detail and with no sign of unwanted artefacts - latest 4k Youtube is handled effortlessly too (albeit scaled down to 1080p)

THis is an interim solution (hence budget) for this great screen before I eventually take the plunge on a 4k larger screen

Advice please

BDP-S6700 or Panasonic BDT380 are both within your budget.

shall check out bdt380 - have subsequently found bad reports on bdp s1700 (applies to S700?) giving voice sync issues and huge button input delays handling Apps (I dont have these issues using Prime micro box)

@david4k i have just listed my BDT-380 for sale on here.
