Budget Camcorder - Samsung VP-D361

I'm in the market for a budget Camcorder, Looking at the Samsung VP-D361 from Pixmania. Only occasional use - new baby, odd family holiday etc.

Most budget cameras dont have a Widescreen LCD but do they record in Widescreen 16:9, i.e when played back thru a Widescreen TV ??

The spec for this model and other similar models seem a bit vague. Failing that would be interested inany other similar priced models if anyones nows a good one

Most camcorders will have some sort of widescreen mode, but on many low end models this will be done with cropping, so you lose resolution. Samsung camcorders are generally poor performers. For a budget model with true widescreen consider the Canon MD101.
