Hi all
I've noticed that quite a few people on this forum are looking at either a budget PC or don't need a mega powerful rig because they browse the internet and read emails.
I recently saw a review of the new AMD 5600 non x and noticed that the entry level Intel 12100 CPU had single threaded performance that was almost the same as midrange CPUs.
I thought it would be a good idea to put an entry level rig together for people who need a good computer, like my mom, but don't want to spend a fortune. I built my mom an entry level Core i3-8100 PC back in 2016 and it's still snappy and lovely to use to this day because I chose certain key parts that would last.
So here is my build for you:

Yes, it's not £250 and super cheap. It's designed to be a computer that'll last you 10+ years (with a little upgrade here and there) and not conk out after 2 years because it was made of the cheapest parts possible.
