Ive currently finishing off my home cinema setup. As ive alreadly got a Panny AE700, HTPC and have just ordered some Celestion AVP305 speakers.

My parents have offered to buy me an amp for christmas with a budjet of £200.

I'll be using the system for 5.1 dolby digital and dts fed from a HTPC. Its 5.1 performance and ease of use is what im worried about not bothered about music or it handling video signals.

Looking online Ive seen the Denon AVR 1705 in budget and also the 1905 for £215. (but really couldnt start looking at anything thats £240 etc)

Do you think the extra for the 1905 is worth it. Are there any other budget amps out there that would be better?

Sony STR-DB790/795? The 795 can be had for £220-230 online, EmpireDirect are selling the older 790 for £190 on clearance.
