    Hi - novice here.

    I've just bought myself a Sony str-db795 (£218!) which I'm delighted with.

Next purchase is a 'proper' set of speakers. The Wharfedale diamond 9.1 HCP at £500 is interesting, but 'What Hi-Fi S&V' rate 'Richard Allan AV Micras' with 5 speakers & a sub at £329.

Having said that I cant find anything about the RA's on the net - plus it seems to have been tested 10 years ago in the mag - can this be right??

Any advice?? & if the RA's are any good, where on earth do you get them?

Are there any other cheap HC packages available?

    Jon

    Hi there,

Just picked up the new Wharfedale SW 150 sub which belongs to the set you are talking about. Its a cracker, I also have a wharfedale centre which is sweet, I will be surrounding myself with the new 9 series from wharfedale as soon as it is all available. Listened to some of the new models in the importers and they are very impressive. Would tend to go for that rather than a ten year old reviewed system. Packages are improving all the time and ten years seems a little long to consider.
