    Watched the first one Monday and the second last night.

    BTTF 1 picture quality was very good, BTTF 2 was better but I expected that, this was viewed on a 44" 100hz set and a pioneer 636 player, whilst eating a bag of the new M&M's (review on them later) :D

    The sound is also very good, BTTF 1 good bass when needed, lot of reports of dull bass, to me there's not many scenes where the bass comes into it, helicopter scene was brill.

    BTTF 2, much more to the soundtrack plenty more scenes for the LF, saw a post the other day of sound problems on the alley scene 7mins+ into the movie, I had no such problems, sound was perfect.

    BTTF 3 as I remember was outstanding on the VHS copy I have so looking forward to seeing this one tonight.

    ;)

    I've only watched BTTF Pt 1 so far, but the picture quality was superb on my 28". (The link I posted says that the video transfer is of reference quality.) Have seen people talking about grain - they might have the sharpness setting too high on their display. :)

    Believe it or not, I had never seen Back to the Future 2 and 3 before.

    I have to say I enjoyed them quite a lot, 3 in particular.

    1 and 2 did look slightly grainy to me though, only slightly though.

    I love them all, but if I had to single one out as being my least favourite it would be BTTF Pt 3.

    I watched Pt 2 yesterday and forgot how great it was! I love all the references to the original movie and the different perspectives we see on the original scenes. Great stuff, very entertaining. :D

    BTTF 1 is a classic, I found BTTF 2 a little dated, its probably just me, but there are a few 80s films that irritate me due to their general style. Having said that after about 30 minutes, I was so into the story I didnt notice it much.
    I maybe liked BTTF 3 because I was drinking the most heavily during it;)

    I was thinking about 80's movies earlier (..anyway)...and I realised what the best thing about them is. They dont treat kids/adults differently. Example, people are always raving about kids movies when 'there's some jokes in there for the adults too', and I find that kind of sad. A film should be appreciated for everything other than an 'in joke' that can only be appreciated by those of a certain age.

    Now the great thing about the eighties is that films made seemingly 'for kids' by todays standards, weren't intended that way - they were just made as good films. Example - Big, starring Tom Hanks. Tv stations always take out the scene were Elizabeth Perkins takes her top off, its hardly graphic but its an important part of the story but by todays standards, if a scene like that were in a kids film in cinemas, I think there would be complaints. Also, Im sure the younger audience members get the idea when Josh comes into work with a huge grin! I must of been 6 when I saw that film and back to the future and I still enjoy them twelve years later. Other great eighties 'young persons' films with no specific demographic - The goonies, teen wolf, the boy who could fly.

    The day Pokemon became a movie, the world died a little. ;)

    I watched it and thought the picture quality was better than SWTFM ( less grain ) and the sound was also good but what Helicopter sean ?

    I'm not sure that Sean will reply to you ;) :D but the scene :rolleyes: :D is just after the layer change, at night, with the clock tower, just before Doc is wiring up for his "weather experiment", a helicopter flies over head.

    What's SWTFM??? :confused:

    that aint the 360 helicopter scene. its the trasitional shot from 1955 to 1985 (i.e. no police helicopters in 1955) right after Doc runs down the fire tracks yelling.

    this guy's spelling is making me want to kill myself

    sean = scene
    and now..
    fantom=phantom

    the fantom menace.....

    This BB could do with a spell checker:( I was never that good at spelling especially when typing fast.
    But you don't have to kill yourself if you don't want to:D
    PS if I have used any bad english I apoligise ( spelling) upfront.

    Dave,

    No worries :) But just for the record.... no spell checker in the world would have helped you out with "SWTFM" ;) :D
