Hi

I am looking to change my tesco broadband to BT as i am only getting 2mb through tesco on the unlimited option. Is BT as bad as everyone says also is the speed connection consistant.

Please help.

If Tesco use the same wires and equipment in the exchange as BT, i.e. BT Openreach, then it won't matter which company you use as your connection speed will be the same.

If you talking about a consistant speed then I've been through a lot of work to find an ISP who will not traffic shape (reduce bandwidth) at peak times. They cannot guarantee that BT openreach will not impact on the traffic but essentially BT openreach shouldn't. The best by far I've found is Eclipse internet.

I don't understand your point about Openreach. Openreach supply only infrastructure & support to the ISPs and so I don't see what they have to do with it.
