A friend has a Panasonic TX-L37D25B TV with Viera Cast. It can be connected to the internet and his home network via ethernet.

He doesn't have Sky TV or a BT TV package but wanted to get the BT Sports channels for Premier League Football. He does have a BT phone line and BT broadband.

Can he get it and if so what is the easiest way. Could he get it on his laptop and connect it to his TV via HDMI? Is there an easier way, streaming to his TV for example?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

EDIT: If there is a more appropriate area for this can a mod move it please. Thanks

I don't know the full in's and out's of BT sports, only that I believe its free for Bt Internet customers.

If it's anything like Sky then I have a setup in my conservatory where I have my pc connected to a monitor and also to the TV via HDMI. I can then fire up sky go and just drag and drop over the browser page for it on to the tv and watch sky sports like that.

BT Sport can be watched via a BT Vision box connected to the TV.
    Apps on smartphones.
$KY box connected to BT Infinity, you need to activate via BT.
Or via an internet browser, I.e. PC connected to the TV.

Personally and if $KY is a no no I would look at getting the BT Vision Youview box for full HD.

Thanks guys, he has it through his laptop connected to TV via HDMI at the moment. Unless he gets sky or BT vision then this seems like his only option.
