I went to Snetterton Circuit on Sunday to see the second day of the BRSCC Championship meeting there. An old friend of mine I haven't seen in years races in the Formula Jedi - single seaters with 1000cc motorbike engines.
They have open pits so we were able to wander around and speak to the competitors about the cars and the racing. As it was a club meeting you also get to wander around and pick your spot to watch & they've improved Snetterton a lot with grandstands and better viewing areas.

A very varied programme, some very varied weather. The odd weather resulted in some very high saturation, high contrast results especially in the AlfaSport and MX5 races.
I played around with reducing the saturation but in the end I gave in to it and went with what I'd got. Everything has been processed to a certain extent and most of them are cropped, some quite heavily.
My panning technique needs work - the best one I managed was too large for the frame at the point I hit the shutter so I cropped the bonnet - doh! I also decided to try it on the OSS Championship only to discover they are the fastest on the track!
A lot of frozen wheels so I need to choose a slower shutter speed.
Finally I had C-AF not C-AF Tracking set; frustrating as things that looked sharp on the screen were not focused when I got them onto a big screen. One day I'll learn to look closely at the settings, not glance and fire.
Still it was a lot of fun, I recommend a club meeting if you want to have a try at Motorsport photography!

Should have said - constructive comments are very welcome.
I'm not intending to become a motorsport photographer but any tips would be appreciated for next years meet :)
