I have a plasma in my HC room and LCD's in the bedrooms, however I still have a hulking great Panasonic 32inch CRT in the front room.

Our front room is all browns, brown floors, brown walls, pretty much brown everything. Is there a plasma or lcd out there in keeping with my colour scheme?

Is there a company that does this or would it just be me and my spray can?

Buy an LG - according to everyone else around here it looks like ****, so it should fit in pretty well.

Brown isn't a particularly popular colour in the world of consumer electronics. You are basically limited to silver or black - and have a few choices of either depending on what you want.

Hitachi have a designer range which has a brown leather frame, in the right environment it looks very cool. Done by some famous Japanese designer. The screen is based on their 42PD range. Saw it in Selfridges London 3 months ago.

Sharp do the same (if you're talking about Toshijuki Kita) - Aquos: the designers edition. Absolutely gorgeous sets IMO, think there's still details on www.aquos.co.uk

Painting the bezel is relatively straightforward - a car body shop can do a straight matte or gloss finish; if you want something a bit trickier then go to someone who does bike helmets.

Stripping the Bezel off the display is the fun bit – especially with a Panasonic!!! You'll want to have a Pedestal stand handy!

Juts been having a PDP-435XDE and a 42PHD7 re done in Silver and the guy who designs Pioneer TV's gets my vote when it comes to ease of dismantling.

    Best regards

    Joe

It's £100 or so for the spraying, it's carrying it around the countyside that bumps the price up. But at least if you want to paint, you can buy a knocked down PWD6 and not worry about WAF

You wish, compared to LG it's not much of a recommendation.

Careful, Tiger! Even a thread about brown plasmas won't make me bat for the other side.
