I watched Brotherhood of the Wolf for the second time the other day. I had always remembered it being a cool movie, but never watched it a second time incase a second viewing diluted the effect and spoiled my memory of the film; but on second viewing i couldn't believed i had waited so long to watch it again, as the movie is absolutely outstanding! Somehow it manages to fuse horror, martial arts, period drama, romance and politics and yet still end up as a cohesive and stylish film that doesn't get boring at all during its two and a half hour running time. The DTS soundtrack is also amazing, with thunderous levels of LFE which is used brilliantly to further enhance some of the "bullet time" style moments in the fighting scenes. I don't know if many people have seen this movie, as it looks like it might have slipped under the radar in this country, but if you have, did you think it was as good as i've said?
