Brookestone Bigshot better than Optoma TW675UST-3D????

Hi everyone.
I was hoping someone might be able to help me as I am a little confused.

I have had a Brookstone Bigshot ultra short throw projector for a few years and have used it sporadically, especially when travelling. I have a couple of trips coming up this Summer so I thought I would buy a cheap used UST projector on Ebay as an upgrade to the Brookestone that would hopefully be brighter. After looking around and watching some YouTube videos, I bought a used Optoma TW675UST-3D that supposedly had 65% of the lamp life left.

Based on the YouTube videos I watched and the 3,200 lumen rating compared to the 200 lumen rating of the Brookstone, I was expecting the Optima to be MUCH brighter and have better contrast. I was severely disappointed when I received it today, hooked it up and found it to be dimmer than the Brookstone and also have less contrast. (see attached pictures) Can you even tell which is which?

is there something wrong with this Optima projector I received? I looked in the settings and it is set to bright lamp mode so I have no idea what's going on.
