    Can anyone help...

just connected my new pre-amp and made the mistake of leaving the input selector on phono. When I powered up, dispite the volume being on zero I got loads of feedback and interference through the speakers.
I powered down, selected CD,powered back and everything is OK...apart from a total loss of high freqency drive.
I've tested another pair of speakers and it's definitely either the internals or the tweeters...... any idea on a fix or (fat chance) a reset mechanism ??????

    Mission 775s

    Appreciate any help....

cant see why leaving it on mono should,ve caused all that feedback :confused:You should get no sound at all if your trying to play CDs . Maybe someone else could help more but it sounds to me like you might have blown the tweeters but I'm not technical. BTW you'd be better off taking your post to the speakers section
