Broken Onkyo 906 - What to get now?

My dear onkyo 906 has finally departed this world and I now find my self in the market for a new amp. Things have moved on a little since I last purchased a new amp. So I'm not sure where to begin.

My budget is between £1500-2000 and looking to future proof myself as much as possible.

Anyone know where I should start my research?

What speakers do you have?
The Anthem 510 would fit in budget I think and gets a lot of praise.

I will be using kef r series speakers and svs pc13 ultra sub running through the Svs sub eq.I should mention this amp will be used equally for music and would prefer network options as I have just installed a cat 6 network in my new house.

Any advice is appreciated.

The Marantz SR7008 is a good price at the moment - £799 (RRP £1399).

Marantz SR7008 9.2 AV Receiver - Quantum AV

It should provide a good balance between movies and music.

The Denon 4520 is an absolute monster and is available for £1199 (RRP £2299).

Anthem has the best room corrections around and compares very well against the equivalent main stream makes. With your budget they really deserve consideration.

What networking options does the anthem have? My cd collection is now stored on my pc and was able to connect the 906 to it to stream the audio. Is this possible on the anthem. The pio seems to be dlna complaint and has things like air play which may be useful to me.
