Broken ipod - how to replace it?

Standard Member
Ok, so I dropped my 30Gb ipod and it just won't even switch on now. What would you guys recommend? Claim it back on home insurance or take it back to Apple? (I don't think they'll do anything)

Anyone been in this predicament before?
