    I am trying to find out what british made speaker manufacturer has the name satrting with "W".

    The reason I am asking is because a friend of mine bought some speakers apparantly worth over 5000 pounds and he mentioned some name that began with W ! perhaps willson or womething like that ! ive never heard of it ...I do know of warfedales

    I too am using STRDB 930 and i thinks its a great all rounder..I particulary use it for movies . its running AE209 agis center, mission 77dipols. Sony VCR SLV750 , SOny DVP 305 , XBOX , LG 152cm Rear projection TV ! need a Sub at some stage !

    wharfedale used to or maybe they still do, use Celestion drivers in their speakers.

    In that case almost certainly Wilson Benesch. (I think that they are British?) I don't think Wharfdale do much in the >=£5000 range. It's certainly not what there best known for.

    I've got a pair of Warfedale Lintons up in the loft, from the good old days.

    Nothing special, wasn't top drawer even then, but fine for the kids bedroom, - I think. Trouble is, my kids have those all shiny aluminium blow yer head off jobs. Paper rounds pay well these days......

    About 19 inches high x 10 wide x 9 1/2inches deep and in teak wood veneer.

    Worth £20 to anyone?

    Otherwise, maybe they'll convert into little cupboards for the garage..........

    Pop em in the or sale forum, I'd have them for my late night Mini fixing sessions in the garage, but no longer have the space (thanks dad).
