Okay so this film isn't exactly what you might call 'deep', but it is a good laugh.

My problem is this, I need to buy a copy of one of the songs used in the film, but I'm not 100% sure what the song is called or who performs it.

The track in question is used by the choreographer from hell, "Sparky Polastri".

The intro lyrics are something like "Prepare for total domination" before the music kicks in. The song is also used again when the Toros perform their routine at a competition.

I *think* the track is by 2 Unlimited and might be called "Get Ready For This" or something similar. However as I said I'm not sure and could do with some help.

I'm not sure if we are thinking of the same one, but I believe it is from the Adam F album, "Chaos".

I bought the soundtrack for my Ex g/f so I'll ask if I can borrow it to copy for myself....

Would be happy to send you a copy IF she isn't being the Wiched Witch Of The West when I ask her... ;)

    Thanks for your input.

Umm, it's not on the soundtrack album, I know cos we got a copy yesterday (my other half absolutely loves the film).

I'll check out the guy you mentioned.

Any other fans out there able to confirm/deny this?

One must be carefull with soundtracks, often nowadays you get an "Official" soundtrack and you also get an "Inspired From" soundtrack, the latter tends to have the songs that aren't on the Official one. 2 examples are "Hit 'Em High" from Space Jam, not on the official CD but on the inspired from CD, another is "Dreams" byt the Cranberries from MI1, not on the official CD but on the inspired from CD..................................

I don't recall seeing it listed in the credits, but I'll do a frame by frame analysis of the uniforms, I mean, credits just to be sure.

    Any more takers?

It is "Get Ready for This" by 2 Unlimited.

It's on (in "orchestral edit" - which seems to match what's on the film) a CD called "Heavenly Hardcore" in my modest collection.

These sort of questions come up all the time. I take there is no good reference site on the web for songs in films ?

It would be good if the IMDB was expanded to contain song info !

Err, it does, but it relies on people adding to the database, rather than just posting the track listing from the back of the OST CD.

Oh, silly me, the sound track info is there  I didn't think to look in the Fun Stuff section !

The listings look official to me. Any changes/suggestions by users have to be approved by IMDB. Excellent. This never used to be on the site, so I am glad they have expanded.

So the official answer to the original post, as per IMDB, is:

    "Get Ready For This"
Written by Jean Paul de Coster, Filipe de Wild, Raymond Slegngaard & Simon Harris
    Performed by 2Unlimited
Courtesy of Byte Records - Belgium

    :)
