I hope sim2 bring back the red coloured projector because my wife says I can't get another one unless it is red like the one we have now :)

    Joking aside...

I'm sure it would invalidate your warranty, but I'm willing to bet if you stripped one of these mean machines of their case, and then spent time priming, basecoat and then clearcoat sprayed the plastic case parts, followed by a good hand polish (like a plastic car bumper) you could produce a custom case.

Hey, just imagine that SIM2 case, with your own airbrushed mural theme on it...

...I fancy Star Wars characters personally.

(Sadly I like my warranty too much to do this at present) :suicide:

interesting, I wonder how hard that would be to do.

there are plenty of 2nd hand sim2's around without warenty to pick up.... :)

I've sprayed before now, and it is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Airbrushing is quite an art.

If you were seriously going to do this I would speak to a local car bodyshop and explain the job. I'm sure you'd get an A1 finish as the techniques are the same as those used to spray up small plastic car body parts.
