    Hi,

Had the Sony KV28DX40 for about a month now. I've noticed that if something bright comes on the screen the contrast level seems to dip slightly and pump a bit if the object moves about a bit. I recall my older non flat Sony TV of a few years ago did this a bit but not pump quite as much.

I've seen this before on a rented Toshiba 28WD06 but it seemed worse on the Toshiba.

The geometry seems very good on this set and its the only real niggle of a very good picture.

Is this whats know as the drawbacks from "Black stretch"? Can it be removed in the service modes?

    Thanks,

    Damian:confused:

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I am using Personal settings rather than Live or Movie. I think the contrast on Live would burn your retinas out!! :D

    Hmmm.

Its not that noticable in Movie but its still there.

    Damian
