It's a good job that common sense isn't part of the national curriculum.

i'll probably get some more penalty points for this but it needs to be said:D

why on earth has a mod comment been added that its not to be read by minors??

    a) its a newspaper article - and last time i bought a newspaper there was no restriction on ages to sell said newspaper?

    b) and if you are a 'minor' whats the first thing you do if you see a comment - 'not to be read by minors?'

    this is moderation gone mad:confused:

I'm hoping no one is that stupid but I somehow wouldn't be surprised if she was.

I suppose you will accuse me of being condescending again, but I don't care.

Dave added a note as in his opinion, as a father, it was not suitable for kids to read.

    Pretty simple really

This was neither moderated nor censored...a comment was left reminding people that the content may not be viewed as suitable for minors....nothing more.

    So...no more OT comments please.

I thought the mod's comment was fair enough. I posted it in the knowledge that it was from a newspaper, so was OK for wider viewing.

I thought that it was worthy of airing because she was a teacher - so you would suppose a degree of intelligence and she put up with the ointment application for 9 months before twigging.

Most teachers I know are always complaining about sore throats

to be fairer still .... there are always good and bad ... and the good ones can be quite inspirational, but in my school years from 76-88 they were certainly in the minority, and some were, to be polite, misfits

I went out with a geography teacher about 11ish years ago and although I hope she'd claim it certainly wasn't clinical ;), she, and her contemporary colleagues, weren't exactly the brightest sparks
