Reuters has confirmed that UEFA Champions League Officials have convened an emergency meeting later today to confirm that a ninth Team (namely Liverpool F.C.) will be allowed into the Quarter Finals of this year's Competition. This is being done on the basis that the outcome of the Liverpool v Benfica game was so blatantly unjust, and is fundamentally at odds with UEFA's earlier decision that Liverpool F.C. should "be allowed to defend their Title". It will also be confirmed that Liverpool F.C. need not take any further active part in the Competition until directly after the outcome of the Final has been decided in Paris. The winner's of the Paris Final will then be required to go back out on the pitch and play Liverpool F.C. for a full 90 Minutes before the real Winner's of this year's Competition is ultimately decided.

Liverpool F.C. officials are understood to have reluctantly agreed to this outcome as a means of resolving the Club's present difficulties, but Rafa Benitez was quoted as saying that in all fairness the game should commence with the scoreline of 1 - 0 in Liverpool F.C.'s favour due to his Team's current inability to put the ball in the back of the net. It is understood that he had originally been holding out for a 2 - 0 scoreline but compromised on 1 - 0 on the basis that this was the very least that a "Team of Liverpool F.C.'s Stature" deserved. He urged all Liverpool F.C. supporters - and all fair minded football supporters everywhere - to get fully behind his Team on the night

    :rotfl: excellent thread my friend.

You forgot the bit about Liverpool being allowed to swop one of the opposition players for Peter Crouch - just like we do at five a side when one team is getting battered ..... :smashin:
