Bravia Sync with PS3

I'm thinking of buying a KDL40W4500 with Sony home cinema and blu-ray player. I've heared that a PS3 is a better bet than a stand alone blu-ray player but does anyone know if the PS3 is compatible with Bravia Sync?

No the PS3 unfortunately does not have support for BRAVIA Sync (CEC)

As for the PS3 being a better BD player?

Depends really on your budget and how concerned you are about HD sound, the PS3 is an awesome piece of kit and is a very capable player for the money, but it does not fit in a hifi stack too well, and has a lot more fan noise than a dedicated player. Also it is worth noting that some of the dedicated players have direct outputs so can be used with older AV recievers.
