Bravia/Aerial freeview problem

Hi guys..
I have the V40 and am really pleased with it..
The problem is that the Aerial on the roof of our house doesn't give a good signal, never has. We have the aerial going down int oa booster box which doesn't seem to do much and from there it goes to the sky box and from there to the tv (i think, can't remember) anyway. I tried to tune the freeview in when we first got the TV and it didn't pick up any channels at all. I presume thats down to the poor aerial we have? Is there anything I can do to get it sorted other than paying someone to sort the aerial out on the roof of the house? could I get a decent indoor aerial?
just seems like the built in freeview is wasted at the mo as its not in use.

If you live in a house with reasonably easy access to the aerial, i.e. two storeys, I'd suggest £150-£200, maybe less, would get you a digital aerial fitted aligned and measured, small potatoes compared to the cost of a V40 surely?
