Had to let you all know about this deal. There is a shop on Friargate in Preston, Lancs, called "Computers Plus" selling new Gamecubes for £79.99. They still have some as I called in today.

I go to Uni at Uclan and I'm in Preston tomorrow so I'll go and have a look. Where is the shop? Either I've never noticed or I don't know where it is?

£80 for a GC sounds pretty good to me though

Hiya guys - plenty of people on this board from Preston - me too !

Isn't it great that we've finally got a Richer Sounds of our very own ! :)

As for "Computers Plus" - Friargate up near Virgin or down by the uni ?

Guys, the shop is on the Uni side, virtually opposite Practical HiFi. It is called "Computers Plus" but you are hard pressed to see the plus. Just look for the sign that says "Computers" in big yellow letters.
I bought an AV amp from Richer in November - just before they opened the Preston store so had to pay for delvivery unfortunately.

Thanks. I went today and found it. Walking up and down every street for the shop :)

I bought one too because it really is a great find. The guy said the GC has had an unoffical drop to £90 but some stores don't honour it and some do and thats why they're being sold at £80 and some shops are still selling them for £130

I got my amp from the RS in Preston last month. I got an SR4200 for £200. The shop is great and the service is first-rate.

I live about thirty miles away from Preston and in fact, used to go to the uni. Now I find all you guys hangin' around and with two bits of good news!.

The Gamecube pricing was cool to hear; but the little Richer Sounds fact-et really opened my eyes - and wallet later, no doubt. :( :)

Anyway, 'hi' :D

I got an SR4200 aswell. Good aren't they. Mine are powering a Mission FS2-AV setup and they easily fill my largeish (24'x15') living room. Only down side is the sub which at a mere 55W gets driven into the end stop quite easily.

On a different note I haven't actually got a console yet, so what should I get, Xbox, PS2 or GC ?.
Why are you going to get a US Xbox or GC, are they better, cheaper ?.

Gary..
