BR player with wifi and Iplayer

Hi,
I have a non smart samsung tv hooked up to a secondary sky hd box and am thus bereft of catch up tv, so I am guessing a smart br player is the best option to replace an ancient DVD player.

For a budget of around £100, is the Panasonic dmp-bdt230 the best option? I don't need 3d but all smart players now seem to provide it and I am sure it'll do other things I don't need. The router is downstairs so it must have built in wifi, and needs to be extremely simple to use! The miracast thing sounds interesting, able to use the tv to look at something on the iPad if I have understood correctly? Or is it only android?

In some way a samsung player would match the tv better etc, but brand is secondary, looking for the best machine for the money

Or is there another piece of technology that would be better, I don't want a games console or anything though

I am in no specific hurry so if something better is coming among the new launches, please let me know.

Samsung F6500 Blu-ray player, no question!

It has Wi-Fi, BBC iPlayer, ITV, 4OD, C5, Netflix, Amazon Instant.

I think the F is still current.

The H is the 4K model

I've reserved an F6500 at Currys, not my first choice of retailer but John Lewis haven't got it and Richer Sounds are a pain to get to
