The CD buying boycott is almost over

I hope everyone else has managed as well as I have and not bought any CDs through February. It's amazing how hard it's been without my new music fix! :suicide:

I've got a couple of gigs on mp3, but I don't really bother using the internet at home.

I like having the media as a collection anyway.

My personal RIAA boycott will be in place indefinitely.

Unfortunately, my fav band put out a killer album this year, so I'll have to buy some of their merchandise to balance out my karma. :D

I'd love to be able to go on indefinitely, but just this month is really difficult! Usually I can go months without buying any music, but in the last few weeks I've seen hundreds of albums that I need :(

Does anyone think it'll actually make a difference?

    Not a jot.

I was determined to have a quieter year after gazing at some of my purchases from last year that were only played a couple of times but, 2 months in, and I'm already about 10 CDs to the good.

    GWAR - Violence Has Arrived

Actually, the album was released in 2001, but it's new to me. I could use a couple nice Oderus Urungus t-shirts anyway. :D

Mind you, when your musical tastes have remained steeped in 80s metal, it's easier to maintain a boycott.

Over at last. I really hope we've hit the profits.

Hope you're doing well Azrikam, I had to dash out over lunch to buy "Start Something" and "Shatterproof is not a Challenge" :)
