Riiiight so which version to get??
The upcoming R1 is supposed to have more extras but momentum is waiting for the approval from Moore for their extras and hence their release will be "bare-bones" but maybe we'll get an SE later (see R2project)
So are the extras on the R1 confirmed?? (I don't bother too much about the upcoming SE as the film is so great that I don't mind having 2DVDs)
Has anyone more info on this? cheers

The R1 has been delayed indefinately as there were problems with some clearances, and material was found at a late stage of production that Moore wanted to include. So a good guess would be Oct for the R1. So that means that the bare bones R2 will be released first. Best bet would be to rent the R2 and Buy the R1 when it finally appears.

well I think it's a great film/documentary. quite intelligent although Moore's intentions are very easily detected.
but still very intelligent. If you like Moore's books you'll like this. If it's the first time you get to know his "works" rent it first.
your political orientation will very much influence your perception of this film.

Good point, but I doubt if even a died in the wool British Conservative would take issue with his stance on gun control.

I've got "the awful thruth" tv series box set (R1), some of it is hilarious (like when they go to disney world dressed as a chicken to talk to mickey mouse about "bad labour practises" how the hell did they get in!), some of it shows you what's wrong with america (doesn't make u wanna live there thats for sure), some of it is average and some of it seems to be just done for TV, but i'm looking forward to the film because i've not seen it before (ordered R2).
