I watched The Bourne Identity last night. I decided to select DTS, for no apparent reason. When I did this, a warning appeared, telling me to make sure my equipment could play DTS:rolleyes:

    How patronising!

A lot os studios do that.
I assume it had to do with the number of complaints they got from people asking them why the DVD won't work.
It used to be on the cover only (the warning) but ti looks like poeple didn't read that one. What is more annyoing with bourne identity is when u press play film u first get a trailer (which is not bad, the trailer is funny and it gives u a minute to settle in) abut What the hell is that stupid total axxess trailer gotta do there:mad:
great film though and nice picture.

Actually I think this is because some receivers that can't decode dts think it's normal two channel audio, and you'll get a heck of a load of LOUD static from your speakers, scaring the pants off you! And that's not good is it?? :(

I believe it's about Matt Damon's character forgetting his true identity of CEO of Digital Theater Systems and battling the many shady bad guys from Dolby in order to reclaim his true self and former life.

Limited edition DVD pack comes with plug-in/light up 'This theatre is DTS equipped' wall mount.

When I watch a film, I dont notice the sound and pic quality. Only when I have viewed a film a number of times, would I start to notice any differences between DD and DTS.

I thought u wouldn`t hear anything at all. at least when u listen through the scart socket (ie listen through TV connected via scart) then again my decoder can do DTS so I can`t say about other decoders.

Not surprising. Most of these highly desirable items are being stolen by postmen, with previously spotless working records, who develop a Gollum to Ring like fixation with these wall mounts.

We watched it last night on our DTS television. It's not the type of film that I usually watch but Mr Chocho loved it.

The DTS soundtrack on this disc is a cracker, lots of LFE, lots of split surrounds, great dynamic range and excellent imaging. One of the best soundtracks I have heard in the past few months, really rich in atmosphere. The film is surprisingly good aswell with Matt Damon more than cutting the mustard is quite a few memorable fight scenes and a great 'Ronin-esque' car chase.

Another film under-rated, unjustifiably, in it's picture quality and awsome DTS soundtrack is Driven.

I have the region 4 version and this is just - g.r.e.a.t.

I couldn't help but notice you can get this movie quite cheap - cease the oppertunity !

Reading 'tawT std' comments he certainly should get a copy.

Does anyone else think that the fight scenes were more framed for 4:3 and cropped for 2.35? I felt I was too close to the action and couldn't really see what was going on.
