Hi i recieved my yamakawa 365 yesterday, only waited about 4-5 days which is good considering its from germany... i plugged it in via dvi port to my samsung SP43L2HX everything was fine upto there, i scanned through the different resolutions 480p worked fine and filled the screen, but 720p (and the 50hz one) doesnt fill the screen, theres a grey border all the way round the image, and down the right hand side of the pic its colour is wrong i.e. all green... 1080i works and fills the screen fine, but is there any reason why 720p shouldnt work? any one had the same problem?

    cheers for any help

I couldn't comment on your screen but on mine all the resolutions work through dvi. I suspect that my media box might help in scaling the image to the screen. In fact on 720p it registers as 750p on the screen?

Why don't you email the service team at yamakawa, their address is at the back of the manual and they will recieve/send messages in English.

    Hi,

I also have a yamakawa 365 and a AE500 adn it works wonderfull
on all resolutions. Did you upgrade it to the lastest firmware ?
Maybe you need some custom settings for your screen.

There is a group on yahoo for the 365 and also a thread with
a lot of information on www.avsforum.com.

Hope it works out fine for you as it is really great in DVI.

    Kris.

i have emailed them but i doubt il get a reply until midweek at best... its weird becuase its just at 720 settings that the border surrounds the image...

i updated to the latest firmware the day i got it, i thought it would help the problem but it didnt do anything... iv tried some custom settings:

    HorizFreq: 45327 VertFreq 5652
    VideoWidth: 1280 VideoHeight 0768
    HSyncTotal: 1680 PreHSync 0048
    HSyncActive: 0128 PostHsync 0224
    VSyncTotal: 0802 PreVSync 0001
    VSyncActive: 0003 PostVSync 0030
    HSyncPol: 0000 VSyncPol 0000

    HorizFreq: 39550 VertFreq 5000
    VideoWidth: 1280 VideoHeight 0768
    HSyncTotal: 1648 PreHSync 0056
    HSyncActive: 0128 PostHsync 0148
    VSyncTotal: 0791 PreVSync 0001
    VSyncActive: 0003 PostVSync 0019
    HSyncPol: 0000 VSyncPol 0000

but these all still have the same problem as 720, the grey border all around

    Hi DP,

I notice from those custom settings that the video height is set at 0768. Shouldn't this be at 0720 if you want to display at 720p? Worth a try... ;)
