I bought 2 different amps from 2 different guys and I cant get either one to work.

First is a Pioneer vsx-52tx. The only way I can produce sound is to run the manual mcacc and and it will lower the db to 0 and then I hear sound. Otherwise the db is always stuck at 80db and I don't have a mic to calibrate it automatically. My question is, do I need to calibrate the mcacc with a mic in order for the amp to produce sound?

Second I purchased an onkyo Tx-nr901 and it appears fine in the display but no sound. Do I need to calibrate or what? I did factory resets on both units also.

    Thanks in advance,

    Curt
