I have a bottle opener key ring from work.

In the picture circled, is that bit for anything?

    Cheers!

Surely if you needed a tool for this, you probably wouldn't have the energy to beat the wife, thus defeating the object of drinking it.

Ones easy, but after a couple of hundred it starts to hurt. Then again bar staff would have a blade not a key ring bottle opener

A couple of hundred??? And most bar staff don't serve cans.

A pointless invention and addition to the average bottle opener.

Yes I know it's all in jest.

I reckon bar staff probably do open a good number of cans tho. Certainly in clubs. With a lot of people using red bull as a mixer then I can see hundreds of cans being opened a night.

It was just one example. To be honest it's one piece of metal why not stick it on there anyway, you never know when it may be useful.

Same to be honest. I was just playing devils advocate somewhat. Lol. I can see why it might be used but unlikely to see it actually be used like that. Anyway. It's a bottle opener. Who cares. Lol

Lots of bars use cans, been to a fair few in London that sell cans of beer. I worked at a racecourse in Australia and they only sold premixed spirits in cans.
It's much easier using the bar blades and eventually after a lot of cans it starts hurting.

I noticed the bar staff in one of the lounges at Gatwick Airport using something (couldn't see exactly what) to open ring-pull cans. They were opening loads, especially mixers, so I could see the need, as opposed to opening the odd Pepsi Max at home.
