In America Boston accoustics is a household name...like B&W and Kef in England.
They say Boston and Yamaha are perfect complements.

In caraudio Boston is the TOP brand.
And now they are getting serious about selling homeaudio overseas too.
If you can get them cheap because people are unfamiliar with them....check them out.
    You won't be dissappointed.

    tan1415,

Thanks for the response! I thought this post was forgotten about.

I actually bought these speakers last year, at the same time I bought my Yamaha DSPA2. I am very happy with them, they seem to cope really well with anything I throw at them. I just thought I would see if anyone was in a position to say how they compared to say B&W and Kef and any other brands.

I also think that my Boston's compliment my Yamaha quite nicely! but where did you hear that?

Do you know of any links?

    Thanks again
    Ace

    Well,

    I am not sure.
But I believe that in the USA it's the most sold/used combination.
Yamaha and Boston. I heard that they have an ultimate reference home cinema set based on Yamaha and Boston and it's pretty good.

Anyway which speakers/subs are you using?

I am now considering either the Sub PV400 or the Yamaha YST W 320.

What did you pay for your set?
Iam not sure i have heard it before.
But a salesman was truly smitten with it.
He said it's the best satelite-sub combo he ever heard.
i believed him. I always love the warm mid and high sound of the Bostons.

What's the sub you're using? The PV 400 or PV 600?

To tell you the truth i'd rather have some floorstanders. Better sound/midbass.
And than i colud use the sub to really concentrate on the Bass(below 80 hz)
I found that the Midbass from the boston wasn't as good as a floorstanders.
