Anybody have them they have agood write up in the Live magazine with today's Mail. Looking at replacing my I Pod's earphones. the only problem is they do seem quite expensive at £69. Any cooment or experience as to how good they are.

i have a pair and they sound pretty good. The sound isolation is good too.

when you refer to triport headphones, do you mean the OE, IE or original model?

i'm affraid that Bose gets slated all over the net, for their high price and average sound. as for me i loved my (original) Bose triports. i'd love to have a go with the IE's.

although once again from the reviews i've read, problems with comfort and fitting (which is a common problem with IEM's anyway) and complaints of average sound for the price.

I love bose headphones and i don't care who knows it.

Do you mean Bose in general? The Bose sound dock is fantastic for the ipod but when it comes to hifi kit and cinema (compared to something of similar price say B&W, etc) then there is no comparison Bose lose out. It all depends what you compare them too for the price! Bose are expensive! For example one of their wave radio with CD can set you back £400! The sound is nice for the bedroom but for that price I can get a Pioneer DVD player and some surround speakers and amp from denon that will blow it away! The bose was compared to the shure e2/3 I believe on the gadget show and the shures won. You can now get the e500 for that price and that has a marked improvement in sound.

i notice that when people say that 'Bose are expensive for what it is' i notice they also neglect to inform you that they also hold there price.

sure you can pick up some rubbish for if ater a year or so your Bose stuff will be worth more than the average hifif manufacturers stuff.

I had them for a day and took them back.

They sounded like fart cannons to me, they are all bass and nothing else.

They kept falling out of my ears no matter what size earbud I used.

They simply don't go far enough into the ear canal to stay in.

They are a total rip off, I know now why Bose gets so much stick.

Verdict: They was the first Bose product I ever purchased, yes you guessed it it will be my last. :thumbsdow

But the straight forward comparison of their products like for like against some other reputable manufacturer and Bose more times than not will lose. If you are comparing it for it's primary function which is to produce sound.

I just received my Bose Triport Around ear headphones and just wanted to say YOU ARE 100% CORRECT!!!!!!
They are all base and the clarity in the sound is awful for £100 headphones. these phones can not tounch my Sennheiser HD-595's.

HOWEVER, they are the most comfortable headphones I have EVER used.

i think the Bose mentality precedes the products, which is sometimes good and sometimes bad.

The Headphones are superb. All bass??? Highs are there aswell on my system, Mids are fantastic, bass is rich, no complaints so far.

The In-Ears are not so good. A little muddy but not awfull.

how did you come up with that conclusion about the IE's:lesson: i couldn't keep them in my ears long enough to hear them properly. you kinda put them in, and they ease out of your ears. i had to hold them in.

i didn't really get on with the sound of the IE's either. i much prefer the Original triports (now called the Around Ears)
